Rio Highlights In July

Through the entire city of Rio de Janeiro, in streets, clubs, squares, churches, schools there will be mini country villages set up with stalls of seasonal delicacies and games, all of them decorated with small-sized flags, lanterns and banners.

At the light of fireworks and lanterns you can have a glance at a mock country wedding or at square dancing. Speaking of square dancing, it is a well-known tradition trough the entire European continent to dance around the bonfire, leaping over the flames, as part of various rural mid-year festivals. This festival is held at several venues in Rio, as follows:

Downtown - at Avenida das Américas 500, a typical folk party offering games, typical food in a theme decorated environment.

Arraiá Do Circo (Circus Folk Party) - at Rua dos Arcos, S/N - Lapa - RJ, features the following artists: Trio Nordestino, Trio Pé-De-Serra, Trio Candieiro and with the Participation of Silvério Pessoa. Here you will find booths with typical foods, forró music, characters from the northeastern folklore, quadrilha dance and many more.

Arraiá Na Praia De Copacana (Folk Party At Copacabana Beach) - at Avenida Atlântica - the shores of Copacabana - RJ, is an interesting folk party organized by Orla Rio. The event will offer lots of games, music and tasty food.

3 and 4 July - Deck 17 _ Quiosque Chopp Brahma and Vivenda do camarão
10 and 111July - Deck 26 - Pizza in Koni and Chopp Brahma
17 and 18 July - Deck 11 - Pizzaria Rainbow and Stake Rainbow
24 and 25 July - Deck 17 - Quiosque Chopp Brahma and Vivenda do camarão

Another important event in July is the Car Show at Riocentro - GL Events Centro de Convenções - Av. Salvador Allende, 6.555 - Jacarepaguá. Here you can see some of the most beautiful classic cars, sport and hot rods, all in one single exhibition.

If you are not into cars that much why not have a look at the 6th Bom De Mesa (Good Food In Rio) Festival which this year has the theme of Year of France in Brazil. This is a three-day event where Members of Associação dos Restaurantes da Boa Lembrança will welcome Chefs from other regions in Brazil. All of the guests will receive the Rio Bom de Mesa" dish, which will be exclusively created for this event.

As you can see, Rio de Janeiro has a lot to offer to its tourists so it would be a very wise idea to make this destination your top vacation priority.
