In most cases, females are one who are experiencing problem on acne. Acne breakout is not about gender but since women are prone to more hormonal changes, they are most commonly affected. From adolescent period to adulthood, hormonal change is considered as part of their life hence they are more prone to acne breakout.Everyone is prone to have pimple. Even the most popular TV personality. They are just good in hiding them that makes them look good and flawless in magazines and TV. There's a lot of stages that a woman may go through where hormonal change may take place. Having acne is one possible side effect of these changes.

The start of hormonal change for woman is when she reaches her adolescent period and acne will be noticed as well. Hormonal level starts to increase for both male and female as they both have androgens. When there is a high level of androgen, it would trigger the oil ducts to do its function at a faster rate. As a result of high level of androgens, there will be an overproduction of skin's natural oil which can clogg the pores leading to formation of acne. Different kinds of pollutants are good source ...
... of bacteria that once made contact with each other will result to breeding of filthy viruses'. From there, acne can start to breakout.

Every month (for those who have a regular menstrual period), women feel and see different signs and symptoms that their monthly period is fast approaching. Change in hormone can cause a woman's breast to become tender and mood swings, having visible acne is also an evidence. It is just like during the stage of adolescence where androgens are most likely to increase, however, not all women experience the same dilemma over and over again during the course of the upcoming menstrual period. Oral contraceptives are said to be useful in prevention of acne even in the event of hormonal change but this does not apply to pregnant women.

During the nine-month long period of pregnancy, women are also prone to changes in her hormone and acne breakouts. This serves as a sign for others that the upcoming baby will be a boy since her body shows increase of androgen level. Acne prevention and cure is still possible despite of these inevitable events but not the roiled hormones.
