Support Non Profit Child Charity, Donate To Haiti Before It Is Too Late

After a series of hard hitting hurricanes that came to Haiti in the latter part of 2008 which left nearly a million Haitians homeless, the Non Profit Child Charity needs continuous support from altruistic people to donate to Haiti. The country is slowly recovering from the vast turmoil that has stricken them but there are still a lot of emerging victims of the four storms (Faye, Gustav, Hanna and Ike) who are desperately in need of food, clean drinking water, clothing, shelter and medicine for their basic needs.
Haiti, disadvantaged as it already is even before the hurricane surge, can largely benefit from any help now more than ever. Before these disasters came, the country had already been in constant battle with malnutrition, widespread disease and poverty. People have been impoverished, some earning a meager $2 a day which is very unlikely to be able to sustain one person more so an entire family. The local radio commentator Pharel even said that in extreme circumstances other families earn as low as 50cents a day. No wonder the children are suffering from malnutrition and Haiti is considered one of the poorest countries ...

A foreigner who is not accustomed to the Haitian's lifestyle probably wouldn't last a week if asked to live in their villages for at this day and age when some countries ubiquitously make the most out of modern technology, this country still has very few places which have access to electricity; while some people live lavishly in their comfortable houses, Haitians barely have a place to stay for their houses are beyond repair; and while some people have been throwing away money for their vices, Haitians don't even have enough money for food nor clean drinking water.
Without a doubt, it is very difficult for a country to bounce back from a major catastrophe like this. According to the World Food Programme and Haiti's National Centre for Food Security, 2.8 million people have been using creative strategies to survive the lack of resources, these includes reduction of food intake, sale of animals, cutting down of trees for charcoal production, and even consumption of unripe crops.
But with the help of organizations like the Non Profit Child Charity, people in Haiti can slowly pull through this misfortune if not totally rebuild what was lost in the calamity. And maybe contribute to the eventual eradication of malnutrition problems, diseases, lack of sources of food and other major dilemmas related to poverty.
Hopefully, Haiti would be prepared next time to whatever fortuitous events that may possibly occur. Because according to the 2009 forecast, they predicted that there would be 14 storms in the Caribbean during the season that runs from Jun. 1 to Nov. 30, seven of which are likely to become hurricanes and three of which are expected to develop to category three (out of five) level or higher, with winds of at least 111 mph. Hopefully, the people would be prepared if something like this happens and the Non Profit Child Charity will always be of assistance to Haitian's who need help and to those who want to donate to Haiti.
