Every home and every office and every one of us, has something to hide from the world or the people we know. And, we all must have something to hide. Why should we reveal our true selves to the world? Does the world reveal its deepest and darkest mysteries to us? No. When there are secrets that we all are carrying with us, then why not protect the secret in every possible way.

• Get rid of electronic documents

Sweep your hard drive. No information means, no risk. Computers store all their data on the hard drives. This is a kind of information that can be re-created by the experts, as and when they require. You can even finish off all the information if you want to. This applies when you have to throw off your computer and you will not require it in future.

You can use a selective file shredding program and you can use this information if you want to ensure, whether the information has actually been deleted or not.

You must physically destroy the hard drive. It may sound tougher, but it is not actually very tough. The recycling services are also a good option which will be environmentally friendly too.

These were some of the ways by which you can get rid of any information which you do not want to see, the light of the day. Get it done as soon as possible, lest it reaches the hands of those, who may try to harm you.
