Sparks Direct Introduces The Next Generation Of Xenon Lights- The “x-flexâ€

London expert lighting and electrical wholesaler, Sparks Direct has launched the next generation of xenon lights - the X-Flex in its North London store and online.
The X-Flex xenon lights are the latest innovation in low voltage concealed xenon lighting for indoor use.
Xenon lights have become highly popular in recent times thanks to the increased level of illumination xenon lights offer and their unparalleled life span when compared to ordinary light bulbs.
X-Flex xenon lights last for up to 20,000 hours (that's the equivalent of almost three years), whilst the average 60 watt household bulb has an average lifespan of a comparatively paltry 1000-2000 hours. Xenon light bulbs are also significantly cooler than halogen bulbs, which run at extremely high temperatures and add to global warming.
Xenon bulbs can be used in all fixtures that currently use halogen bulbs provided the wattage is the same. This makes Xenon lighting far more environmentally friendly than ordinary light bulbs (which the UK government plans to ...
... phase out altogether by 2012).
X-Flex xenon lights are fully dimmable. X-Flex offers a variety of xenon lighting opportunities, ranging from a subtle glow to a bright emission. Operating on a 24 volt power supply, the X-Flex lighting system is safe for use in applications such as kitchens, bathrooms, display shelving, and other dry applications.
Coloured filters in red, green, orange and blue are also available giving another dimension of lighting effects and offering a viable alternative to highly costly neon lighting. The filters are easily exchangeable allowing for a spectrum of different light effects.
X-Flex xenon lights are perfectly suited to applications where feature enhancement or service lighting is required, for example beneath high kitchen cupboards to light the surface below or inside ornamental glass-fronted cabinets. X-Flex xenon lights offer maximum effect when used in domes, ceiling coves, under-shelf pelmets and can even be used as floor lighting.
Sparks Direct has launched its Summer Sale for 2009 online and in-store at the Archway, North London-based shop where customers can find hundreds of incredible price-drops on a range of lamps, wall mounted light fixtures, ceiling cavity lights, xenon, halogen and other bulbs and switches and sockets in a variety of plastic and metal finishes.
