Delta Upgrading Its Narrowbody Planes

Delta Airlines, already proud of its cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages, has decided that it wants to improve the comfort of its passengers flying on narrowbody planes. To that end, it has announced plans to spend $770 million remodeling the cabins on 225 narrowbody planes over the next three years.

This renovation will increase capacity for overhead bins, add new slim-line seats with adjustable headrests, update LED cabin lights, and modernize lavatories. All passengers will be provided with electrical power next to every seat, as well as satellite TV.

The new interiors are going on Delta’s Boeing 757-200s, 737-800s, and planes in the Airbus A320 family.

The remodeled 757-200 planes will have 18 or 20 seats in first class, 28 or 29 in premium economy, and 150 or 151 in economy.

The Boeing 737s will hold 16 seats in first class, 18 in premium economy, and 126 in economy.
