Mobile Translators Become The New Hit On The Market

Mobile translators are becoming more and more popular among travellers and businesspeople. People want to do many things at a time and the need for gadgets and mobile phone applications to help this process has grown. Some years ago the most common way to translate a text was to hire a translator or use a web-translator but now translation is available on your cell phone.
Machine translation world is lucky to have another citizen that works for its well-being. Interlecta is a company which has been on the mobile translation market since 2007 but has already gained enviably high popularity. For little more than two years the company has developed and released automatic translation software for a variety of mobile platforms including BlackBerry, J2ME, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Android and iPhone.
Starting with an Interlecta Text Translator published on the Handango website in 2007 the company continued with an Email Translator and SMS Translator on the same site - all these products developed for RIM's BlackBerry. All the available mobile translators you can see at the website of the company.
Mobile and ...
... BlackBerry translation were not enough for the young team of developers so they came up with add-ons for internet browsers and even won their way for a place in Facebook - one of the biggest social networks - with a Wall Translated and an Interlecta Text Translator which are becoming must-have applications. If Facebook is compared to a country, it would be one of the biggest and most influential countries.
The company's huge progress did not pass unnoticed by some of the main mobile manufacturers and Interlecta have already established mutually beneficial relationships with RIM and NOKIA. The expected publishing of Interlecta's Translator on App World and OVI (the online stores for mobile applications of these manufacturers) will be yet another expression of their successful business.
Since 2007 Interlecta has been declared among the world leaders in implementing the next major advance in Globalizing Internet and Mobile communications. A top 10 finalist in the 2008 GSMA Mobile Innovation Contest in Barcelona and recipient of the 1st Runner Up Award in the recent Nokia Mobile Rules Enterprise Application Contest, Interlecta is recognized as the first company to monetize the language barriers that limit international communication between English-speakers and those nearly 70% Internet and Mobile users whose native language is not English. Their service helps drive the globalization of successful business models by incorporating easily integrated Online and Wireless real time multi-lingual translation in: text, email, SMS, IM, imaging, speech and chat room environments.
Interlecta provides automated translation services with industry specific language, context and terminology. (e.g. commerce, law, medicine). It is fully scalable and already supports more than 30 languages via an intuitive user interface. They are actively utilizing additional translation technologies from major vendors and research communities.
In addition to its core Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, Interlecta provides a range of MT development, integration and consulting solutions for enterprise mobile and desktop applications. Modular plug-ins are available for web, office and messaging application, among others.
The company's team is perhaps the most expert and experienced team in real-time machine translation (MT) services in the world and its founders have been working in this field since 1999.
The company's mission is to become the leading provider of translation services for desktop and mobile messaging services and if this is the success they achieved for only two years then what have they prepared for the future? Company's officials already announced an upcoming online translator but we are expecting more surprises. The number of users of social networks is constantly growing and so are the users of mobile phones so Interlecta will have quite a broad field to use their imagination and professionalism.
