Tenerife is a destination we hear so much about and as a result often feel as though we have visited the place, even if we have not! Discovering Tenerife is something every holiday maker worth his or her while should do.
Clichéd as it may sound; Tenerife's popularity does lie in its sunny beaches. Though some do prefer a more adventurous holiday for the majority, a holiday entails lazing about on the beach doing absolutely nothing but soaking up the sun.

Tenerife is one of those blessed destinations on earth that enjoys near perfect weather with no specific rainy season and the lowest difference in temperature between the winter and the summer. So summers are never scorching hot and winters are never too cold. Depending on which part of the island you plan on visiting you can almost decide which kind of weather you will experience!

Being the largest of the famous and ever popular Canary Islands it is no wonder that Tenerife attracts hordes of visitors annually. Obviously the seemingly endless beaches are the main attraction. This is no wonder when you take some of the beaches on offer into considerations ...
... such as Las Teresitas, a man made beach. Catering completely to visitor needs the beach has such facilities as showers, rest rooms, promenade, public phones, restaurants and umbrellas and hammocks for hire. Los Roques may not be as well equipped but nevertheless offers restaurants and parking along with amazing black sand, to a day at the beach here too is enjoyable. Awarded the European Blue Flag the Playa Jardin beach is near Loro Park. This too is a black sanded beach and is divided into three parts by rocks and offers facilities guaranteed to ensure a comfortable day at the beach, such as showers, rest rooms, restaurants etc.

However, when spending the day at the beach always be cautious to adhere to the rules and pay attention to the signs posted for your safety.

Tenerife offers a good transport system and car hires are relatively easy. If you prefer to save up on the budget then try travelling via the busses which are fairly frequent and easy to use. If you prefer follow your own pace and timeline, Tenerife has many long and winding mountain roads with incomparable scenery just waiting to be enjoyed.
