Taking The Minimal Approach

10,000 Google Glasses are currently in this world and are being tested rigorously by volunteer explorers who create special applications for it and test existing services to identify the ones that do not work well with the device and will require a complete redesign. With a screen size of just 427x240px, the Google Glass offers very limited space to developers and forces them to cut out any part of their application that is not necessary. Ever since the latest Google Glass update has introduced a web browser in the device, Google Glass Web Development has become a highly talked about topic. Web services are executed on the device with the help of cloud and offer real-time information about any topic that the user wishes to find out more about.
Making web services functional
Several leading firms have already announced their plans to Hire Google Glasses Developers who can create applications and web services that are not only compatible with the device, but also make use of the incredible interface that the device offers to provide enhanced ...
... functionality. Google Glass has a very small screen so that it does not obstruct your view of the physical world when you are wearing the device. An increased focus on functionality is necessary because Google Glass users will control the actions of their device using eye ball movements and a limited touch interface. Standard desktop services and applications will cause users a lot of problems and users will be left struggling to use services that are a daily part of their lives on other internet capable devices.
While Google Glass will serve as a multimedia device and a communication tool, its primary function is still to provide users with seamless connectivity. In absence of developers who understand the special needs of Google Glass Web Development, the project is highly unlikely to attain commercial success. Hundreds of case use have been crowd sourced already and new suggestions keep pouring in. It will take more than just a port of an existing application to the Google Glass environment for it to be successful. Complete redesign and an almost brutal removal of all services which the format cannot support fully will have to be necessary.
Getting ready for the future
Google Glass are expected to be available for public use by the end of year 2014 at the very latest. Google has been consistently working to make their product more useful and they too have realised the role applications will play in the success of their project and provided dozens of developers with free Google Glass to help them get their applications ready by the time Google Glass hits the open market. Google also conducted a special Hackathon event last month in San Francisco and introduced selected developers to their Google Glass development tools which make the development process for the device a lot easier. With the buzz around the service and the immense possibilities that the device offers, companies have already started to hire Google Glasses Developers to help them get ready for the public release of this groundbreaking technology.
