If we want to produce high quality items, then we will have to make sure that we work with the best welding equipment and supplies on the market. As we all know that having a good image is key to selling our products, even if we are resellers, making sure that the products that we work with when it comes to MIG or TIG welding are reliable and of high quality will ensure the fact that our customers are satisfied.

There are certainly several ways in which we can weld things together, generally things made out of metal, although we can talk about thermoplastic welding as well. We can determine two criteria for distinguishing the methods of welding available today, one of which is the energy source being used, and the other being the actual method of welding. When looking to buy welding supplies we need to take these things into account, as well as the fact that we need proper equipment in order to use certain types of welding materials, or methods. When it comes to the energy source being used we can talk about welding through ultrasound, electric arc, laser, gas flame, friction or electronic beam. The most popular methods ...
... of welding are stick welding, MIG and TIG welding. Each of these methods has its pros and cons but what really matters is what we want to accomplish.

Although we might think that it is a matter of choice when it comes to picking a way to weld metals together, we will soon find that certain methods are better in certain situation, and when using certain welding supplies. Stick welding, for example, can be accomplished easily and almost inexpensively, as the equipment needed for achieving these types of welds is easy to use and relatively cheap. The downside to stick welding is that we will have to deal with the slag that is created when the molten metal solidifies on the surface of the weld, which will also make the weld look very rough and unaesthetic. When it comes to MIG and TIG welding, on the other hand, we won’t have to deal with slag. With MIG welding we will need to have certain control over the environment, being recommended that we do it indoors, as there is a gas shielding that needs to stay in place in order to be able to weld.

While in the case of stick and MIG welding we would need to be careful as these types of welding will produce toxic fumes or smoke, in the case of TIG welding we won’t have such problems. Because it can be done in all positions and there is no risk to our health Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding is ideal for small or confined spaces. The only downside is that it takes more experience, skill, and expertise in order to achieve a good weld using this method. There are more variables that need to be taken into consideration such as the angle of the torch while welding, as well as the uniformity of the weld-pool, and the filler that is being used. Overall, before purchasing welding supplies we need to make sure that we know what we need because finding a reliable supplier can be easier than we think.

For any respectable manufacturer, it is important to use the best welding supplies available on the market. Browse a list of high quality products used in MIG and TIG welding.
