Colours play a very important role in picturisation. You have to be very careful about the way background colours affect your subject. You can play with the surroundings in order to hide or highlight features within the movie. Shifting focus from the foreground to the background keeps the audience hooked on to your video as they don’t lose interest. Nevertheless, make sure that the colours you are using are in sync with the general theme of the movie. You should not put in conflicting ideas within the same frame. It can confuse the viewer terribly.
