The unusual thing about it is this is one model where you need to do serious due diligence before getting involved. Most people are good and you will find some solid opportunities out there. It's about conditioning yourself, not necessarily selling your plan to other people. You must develop an above average mindset to survive and build a consistent income.

What you want to do, instead, is become successful before approaching them with anything. Then, when they see what you have done, they'll come to you and you will have credibility.

Remember that networking marketing is not a hobby or a weekend activity. Instead, it is actually a bona fide business, one that requires 100% of your attention. You need to have a marketing budget, and a mindset that will allow you to succeed. Draw up a plan of action of what you can do while staying within budget and then never deviate. Many people will actually charge money on their credit cards to keep going. Stay away from this if at all possible. Also, factor in realistic and reasonable amounts of training each month. If you're going to buy anything, make sure it is high-quality. Also attend local meetings whenever they come up.

If you truly like the network marketing business model, then by all means do it and become the best you can. Avoid thinking this model of business is so different from other models - it is and it is definitely not. So give it serious consideration and if truly want to do it, then do rather than just trying it.
