Today, there are literally hundreds of varieties of bulbs that can be used for varying effects in a home, office, commercial or industrial spaces. Diffused bulbs- These bulbs are actually clusters of LEDs that are covered by a very dimpled lens. This lens spreads light over a much wider area. Base LED bulbs- These are designed to replace the incandescent candelabra bulbs. Their flame-tip delivers an equivalent of 25 - 35 watts of incandescent light and draws just 3.5W of electricity. There is a heat sink in the base. This does not permit the light to disperse downwards as the standard incandescent candelabra bulb does.

Tube Lights- These are designed to replace traditional fluorescent tube bulbs and are available in 8 & 16 watts. They replace traditional 25W and 40W T8/T10/T12 fluorescent tubes. Since fluorescent lights are generally installed in high ceilings at commercial sites, the savings are even higher as they do not have to be changed so often.
