LED’s are solid-light bulbs that are very energy efficient. When they were first invented and put into commercial use, they were not more than single-bulb applications. The packaging these LED bulbs come in, state the lumens. It is the best measurement when it comes to comparing lighting though it is not always the perfect measure. When you are shopping for light bulbs, you must know that bulbs with reflectors will throw increased directional light. LED bulbs are energy efficient and do not require the wattage that incandescent or fluorescent bulbs do. This also makes them long lasting.

The fact that they do not have a filament makes them more durable. Subsequently, you end up saving not just on energy bills but on replacement costs as well.
