... but you do not go to Bangkok. While in Bangkok there are many beautiful places to visit but the Wat Phra Kaew Temple is a must. It is located in the historic center of Bangkok in district Phra Nakhon, within the grounds of the Grand Palace. This temple is said to be equivalent to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Its full official name is Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram and is regarded as he most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. The biggest attraction in this Temple is the historical Emerald Buddha.

Royal Palaces: The royal monarch and palaces in Thailand add magic and charm to this beautiful land. The palaces give you a glimpse in the grandeur of the Thai Monarch. The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings in Bangkok, and has served as the official residence of the Kings of Thailand from the 18th century onwards. Construction of the Palace began in 1782, during the reign of King Rama I.

National Museum: The National Museum Bangkok invites you to explore the diversity of the life in Thailand with many unique objects and monuments. It features exhibits of Thai art and history. The museum was established and opened in 1874 by King Rama V to exhibit relics from the rule of King Rama IV's rule. Today the galleries contain exhibits covering Thai History back to Neolithic times. Beside National Museum, there are museums in every province of Thailand to let you get an insight into the life in Thailand.

Monuments and Shrines: Thailand is full of monuments and shrines that let you explore the religious life of the people in the country.
