CBC Blower / New York fans and blowers aare used in a variety of applications throughout industry, ranging from providing air for combustion, process aeration, fermentation, drying, cooling and conveying; for extracting dust or fumes, and for handling any type of unusual gas. As an illustration of the diversity of uses for our products, some applications are:

FOOD INDUSTRY

- fans for boiler plant in distilleries, breweries and food processing plant. Fans to provide air for germination and drying in maltings.
- Turbo pressure blowers to provide air for fermentation in yeast plants and side channel pressure blowers to handle carbon dioxide.
- Process fans for heating, hot air recirculation, drying, cooling and ventilation for flour mills, bakeries, cereal and chocolate production, and many other food processes.

CBC Blower / New York supplies highly specialised blower packages for the nuclear industry and equipment for a number of other applications, including gas CO2 circulator blowers, or submerged blowers, that provide the heat transfer in the Advanced Gas cooled Reactors and which in turn provide substantial part of nuclear generated electricity; units that once installed operate with no maintenance during plant operation. Centrifugal and axial fans are also provided for the cooling and other auxiliary systems.

For the more common water cooled reactors, CBC Blower / New York supply the fans associated with the various safety systems and reactor building cooling, and the diaphragm turbo pressure blowers for radioactive gas leak recovery. Where these gases have to be compressed to high pressure the turb blowers that are mainly preferred. Encapsulated blowers have been used in the auxiliary systems of demonstration fusion reactors.

For reprocessing plants, specialised centrifugal fans are used for cell cooling and turbo pressure blowers - for pressure testing. For decommissioning, centrifugal fans are used in ventilation and cooling.
