The festival of lights is here again and as estimated, many small and medium companies utilize their annual gifting budget during Diwali, in India. The gifting is not limited to employees but also prospects, clients, partners etc. Under this section we shall cover sweets to gift during Diwali. These sweets vary from the regular ones to some different ones to suit international clients. Let’s take a look at the sweet items best suited for Diwali.

Dry fruit mithais: These are everyone’s favorites for Diwali. Every year, hundreds of new varieties of different dry fruit mithais are born. Some with a South Indian touch that include coconuts while some with flavors from Bengal. Some with excessive ghee to cater to the north Indian audiences while some include jaggery etc for the natives of Maharashtra. You can choose from hordes of design and flavors. To name the most famous ones: Kaju Katli, Anarkali, Dryfruit Apple, Anjeer Kaju Katli etc. Some unusual designs mostly available during Diwali include Dry fruit Pan, Gulkand Bahar, ...
... Dry fruit casata, Dry fruit custard apple. Mind you, these are the most expensive type of mithais and if you intend to gift this to everyone, you may very well burn a big hole. So, if you havecertain important partners, board members, potential prospects, you can cut some slack and send these over as a gesture of your large heartedness.

1.Mawa Mithais: Mawa Mithais are also widely gifted during Diwali since they are relatively cheaper and many people who are averse to dry fruits welcome it with a smile. Mawa mithais are great to gift International clients who might find ghee and dry fruits too heavy and over the top. Since they are milk made, the taste is mostly favored. Some common mawa mithais include: Malai pedas, regular and flavored barfis, malai rolls, kesar peda etc.

2.Dry fruits: Gifting dry fruits is also common. Baskets or designer bowls of assorted dry fruits are gifted to customers for goodwill. Dry fruits, though expensive, are appreciated as raw dry fruits have many uses and an assortment allows people to pick their choice.

3.Chocolates: Chocolates have picked up trend as the gifting spread to international employees, clients etc. Some corporate prefer gifting their international clients chocolates that they would appreciate over the Indian flavors which they may or may not like. Chocolates have man fancy varieties including simple milk chocolates to chocolates with nuts and different flavors etc and are generally arranged in beautiful baskets and packages.

4.Cookies: Sales of assorted cookies has also stepped up amongst corporate gifting international clients as these are mainly products they can relate to. Some of them genuinely find Indian mithais too sweet and heavy to have as post meal desserts. Cookies, again like chocolates, come in various varieties with different flavors and are also available in health conscious varieties. Thus, allowing the buyer a chance to personalize them.
