The female society is often the target of the stressful acne problem. The reason behind this is not because acne chooses to affect women than men but rather women are subject to more hormonal changes. From adolescent period to adulthood, hormonal change is considered as part of their life hence they are more prone to acne breakout.Even the most popular female celebrity is not excused from having pimple, they just look flawless in televisions and magazines because they know how to conceal it. In most stages of a woman's life, changes in hormones may happen resulting in acne as side effect.

When a female reached her adolescent period, it the beginning of the changes in hormone and acne starts to appear. Androgens are present in both male and female and hormonal level starts to increase as they enter in the adolescent stage. Some signs of hormonal changes include acne appearance, mood swings and tenderness of breast. It can be compared to adolescent period where androgen levels rise, but some women still undergo with the same trouble over again when their monthly period is about to come. Some people say to prevent acne during hormonal changes, oral contraceptives can help but not in the case of pregnant women.

During a women's pregnancy period, they are apt to change of hormones and acne breakout. Increased of androgen level of a pregnant woman according to others is a sign of bearing a baby boy. Although these events are certainly inevitable, there are still different ways how to cure and prevent acne, but not the raging hormone.
