Many parents keep children at home until they are old enough to be preppers (2½ to 3½ years). Most of the families that take children younger than this to day care centers do so just because both parents are working. There are several reasons why you should take your children, including infants (6 weeks to 1 year) and toddlers (1 to 2 years) to a day care center.

At a day care center, your child is provided the tools and the environment that will help him/her develop to his/her greatest potential. The earlier childhood education is given, the stronger will be the child’s foundation for the future.

Day care is important for infants because it ensures that your baby has a regular friendly face and plenty of nutrition. A day care center is also advantageous at this age because it takes the tedious job of potty training your child away from you.

Even if your prepper (2½ to 3½ years), preschooler (3 to 5 years) or kindergartener (5 years) is going to school, you should still consider after school care once the kindergarten closes because kindergarten close earlier than most parents get out of work.

In day care centers, your prepper, preschooler, and kindergartener will get after school care as well as further childhood education. At The Learning Experience, there are proprietary after care programs called L.E.A.P.® (Learning Experience Academic Program®).

Under these after school programs, preppers are taught such skills as early writing, basic computer and technology skills, and reinforcement of potty training. Preschoolers are taught such skills as social-dramatic play, introduction to foreign languages, and an early reading program. Kindergarteners are taught to master physical, cognitive, and social skills that they have probably only passed through in kindergarten as well as more complex concepts like distinguishing the right hand from the left.
