When you are already paying a huge amount every year to get your child privately educated, the idea of arranging for extra tuition may not sit well with you. However, that is exactly what is happening because a number of parents wish to “top-up” their child’s already expensive education along with a private tutor.

Studies have shown that, around 60-70 per cent of students receiving additional tutoring are from private schools, and the numbers have been rising every consecutive year. The agency’s students normally fall into two main groups. They are those who are struggling withone particular subject and take the best advantageof one-to-one tuition. This does not mainlyimply a problem with the school as even with the smaller parts of an independent establishmentteachers mainly cannot always give all their pupils the attention they normally need. Often it may so happen that a different approach will play a major role in providing that “eureka” moment, when it actually starts to make sense.

The second group of students is comprisedof students who are excelling but whose parents are very particular and ...
... want to ensure that they are goingto good tutorials. For both these groups, extra tuition is extremely popular in the run-up to exams, with science and math the most commonly chosen subjects, although foreign languages are also extremely high on the priority list.

Depending on your requirement, the child can take private tuition for one or two subjects or all as per need. Even if the child is bright, it is wise to opt for private tuition so that your child does not deviate and stay focused as ever.

Parents normally worry that a school might feel putout if the students opt for private tuition, considering it as a sign of dissatisfaction; however, this is normally not the case. Every school wishesits students to excel and hence they will not mind if their students go for private tuitions. Independently educated children, usually make up “the core” for the school’s future. They play a major role in building the name of their school as well as of the private tutorials.
