There has been a major change in the Mobile Technology, after the arrival of Android Operating System. It has made the leaders in the market fall down to ground. It is now clear that the shares occupied by all other OSes have fallen. Android has become the game changer in the mobile industry.

Nokia is now better known for making Windows powered smart phones. Previously Nokia has launched many successful mobile devices. It was once the top mobile device maker all over the world, but as Android became popular, Nokia began to lose its charm and soon. Today, Nokia is not a leader in the market at all. And recently, the company was sold to Microsoft in 7.2 billion.

Today, the place of Nokia has been occupied by Samsung Android and Apple iOS. These two companies have the maximum shares in the market. The rest of the companies have to satisfy with tiny shares only. Recent findings indicate that as the Google’s Android is introduced, market shares started to surge up for all the mobile leaders.

If we talk about Samsung’s market, it has grown from nothing to achieving 22.9% of market shares. And experts say it’s all because of adopting Android platform. Many admirersof Nokia say it would have survived if adopted Android platform. Actually they want to see the beauty of Nokia with Android. Rumors have also speeded up before the selling of Nokia that testing of Android on Nokia’s hardware is undergoing. But the question still remains the same why Nokia has not adopted Android? In fact they continued towards Windows, but rumors also said that the Hardware with Nokia is not compatible with Android OS environment.

It is believed that if Nokia would have been able to use Android, then it might not be the one who suffers as it has unmatched hardware and other features. It is surely going to defeat Samsung. But shifting of Nokia towards Android is say surely no, because Nokia has already launched the Windows powered phone before Android became world leading OS. And shifting towards Android means Nokia had to redevelop lots of apps. As Nokia users are already using Windows platform so if either accepting it Nokia have tried implementing Android it could create chaos among the users. As new users will get new software running on new hardware but the old users have no updates.

As for we know that Microsoft and Nokia both are struggling. And as these two merges it would be interesting to see what there association does?
