For the outdoor enthusiast, Belize presents unlimited opportunities. Located in Central America's Caribbean coast, Belize has a population estimate of 270,000 people with Belmopan her capital city. It's a country of various cultures, languages and ethnic groups, English being the official language though Spanish is spoken by almost half of the population. Most visits to Belize are trouble free but you ought be on guard and exercise caution as there have been occasional violent incidents against tourists. The threat from tourism is also low but beware that the hurricane season usually runs from June to November. All said and done, Belize remains one of the best places to visit.
