In the third and final stage of the disease, an infected begins to show signs of the disease. The virus destroys the immunity system completely making the individual susceptible to even the most minor diseases. The symptoms of this disease are not seen until 10 to 12 years after the person has been infected.

The treatment and prescription medication for AIDS is quite expensive. Moreover, being diagnosed with this disease means a lifetime of medication. In most cases of AIDS, the patient also develops other diseases like cancer which is not cheap to treat. Being diagnosed with such a disease is enough of stress, having to arrange the funds for the treatment will only add to your list of problems.
