Apple Inc. is considered as one of the most popular phone and computer manufacturer of all time. It is based in California in America and makes some of the best consumer electronics in the market. The company is well known for quite a few of their products, like the Mac Computer, iPod players, iPads and iPhones to name just a few. The Macbook is also another popular device by Apple. The company enjoys a rather large percentage of the global electronics market.

The company was started way back in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Steve Jobs was the charismatic leader who, together with his partners, brought Apple up to the level it is at now.

The company started out with Personal Computers and slowly, over the course of time, diversified into phones. The first iPhone was released in 2007 with the simplistic iOS powering the phone. After the initial success of their very first phone venture, they have been consistent with subsequent iPhone releases every other year. Each new release comes with a new iOS version as well. So far, there have been six generations of iPhones to hit the market, and each model has proven to be a bigger success than the last one. The phone functionality has always taken a backseat with many focusing on its looks rather than going by what it can do for them. Apple mobile is always quite about future ventures until they actually go ahead and achieve it, keeping the media and the public always on their toes, trying to guess what they will come up with next.

All the phones have a similar look so that a sense of familiarity can be established with old customers. New customers always love the iconic look of a quintessential iPhone. The company often places an onus on technological superiority in order to stand out from their competition. As a result of this, iPhones, iPads and Mac computers come with impressive specifications. Even if some of the specifications are somewhat slower than that found on competitors, they will be made much more sturdy and reliable.

The iPhone had many Firsts for a smartphone. It was already primed for multitasking and was capable of high quality graphics to support some serious gaming. This was done so that the consumers could enjoy a more well-rounded experience with a phone that was designed for much more than simple calls or text messaging.

With the advent of more advanced versions of the iPhone, like the iPhone 5 and 4S, the phones became much more capable of superior multitasking capabilities. The phones are only going to get better with the upcoming release of the iOS 7. The Software Update is slated to bring greater usability to the users and will make operating the smartphone much smoother than it already is. The overhaul is expected to happen within a few weeks of September.
