The mechanics of starting a business and making money will generally not be the hard part. For most individuals, the hardest part is going to be getting beyond the mental problems. You know, you've got more negative thoughts than you do positive thoughts, like if you have a loud voice of doubt.

It is possible that you might not feel confident enough and might have questions about whether or not your business will actually be able to succeed. In a very real way, these are all thoughts that serve to sabotage your efforts. It is important to focus only on what is actually positive about you--we are all strong in some areas.

If you are really at odds over a particular business problem, then do something new to solve it. Almost everybody finds themselves limited to just a few possible solutions. We are all limited to only our own perspectives but you understand that there's more than one perspective with which to see things. This is the time to bring in your leverage by calling your colleagues for help brainstorming your business. Your ego might keep you from doing this, which truly is going to work against you. Ask your best minds to meet with you, explain your problem and then ask them for whatever might come into their minds. Most of the time there will be a great solution right in front of you.

It is a common mistake for people to take for granted everything related to their business, even the employees that are helping them run everything. Ignoring problems until something stops or breaks is usually how businesses and corporations operate on a daily basis. Take the average company - they use computers and other electronic devices to make everything run smoothly. If they are serviced on a regular basis, many problems can be avoided. This type of maintenance falls into the category of "discretionary expense" which means it won't get done on a regular basis. Critical problems can manifest, causing your company to stop production and lose a lot of money. So to avoid unexpected problems that may arise, every piece of critical equipment needs to be maintained regularly. If you've been trying to figure out just where you should start building successful habits, it is with your awareness. Avoid allowing yourself to focus too much attention on the negative thoughts because you don't want to risk enforcing their legitimacy. Being aware of the thoughts you do have, though, can be quite beneficial. This takes quite a lot of time and practice but it is possible to teach yourself to be much more aware.
