Ovo
is a great, minimalistic, countdown timer app for your Android
device. Unlike other apps, that try to deliver too much and fail,
Ovo keeps it simple, neat, and performs perfectly. It is
beautifully styled and easy to operate. Once you launch the app,
drag your finger in a clockwise direction on the screen to set the
timer. A thick red and white arc will appear which indicates the
timer, and inside of that you can see the duration that you have
set. Once you let go, the timer will start. You cannot set the
timer beyond 60 minutes. The time remaining is displayed in
minutes and seconds on the screen, and also in segments of a
circle. The alarm will sound when the countdown is complete.

Ovo
also has a useful Speech recognition feature that lets you set the
timer with verbal commands. To use the feature tap the Microphone
icon on the top-right corner, and then say the time aloud. The
timer can be paused at any time by tapping in the middle of the
circle. Tap it again to resume. Use the “Rewind” icon
to restart the countdown. Once a timer is over, tap the circle to
rewind the timer. This comes in very handy when you want to use
the same countdown again. The alarm can be silenced by tapping
anywhere on the screen. You do not need to have the app open for
the alarm to sound. If you exit the app, a notification will
pop-up when the alarm sounds.







The
sound settings can be customized in the Settings menu. You can
pick what sound you want to be played when the timer reaches zero,
or instead choose to have the phone vibrate when the alarm goes
off. The alarm can be set so that it keeps ringing until you stop
it. You can have the app keep your screen awake while the timer is
