Getting your ecommerce site up and it all looks so good is the easy part - the hard part is just around the corner. There are all sorts of things that go into the creating of profits and successful businesses online. One thing that is indispensable is cultivating a hardened mindset so you will not give in so easily. Learning the following is not enough, you need to use this information to make profits.

You have to stake your claim and find your way, and you cannot do that in the best way by copying others. You'll need to have a unique selling proposition (USP), so that means you cannot look like a template. If you come up with a way to be different that is really good, then your competitors will copy you. Above all, just don't worry about anything or stress about this or that - do what you know what is right. You will need to decide what you want to do with an online business, and there are many opinions about this. Lots of people have made tons of money doing what other people do, but it all depends ...
... on what you do and how you go about doing it. If you're just new and really don't know much, then just spend time learning what needs to be done and how to do it unless you can outsource. On the other hand, you can also waste money trying to do what everybody else is doing to some degree.

Be smart about what you want to do, and this means not rushing into things unless you have some kind of plan. If you do not have something like that, then you will be totally disorganized. Everything flows from a plan that is made from knowledge and expertise, unless you like shooting yourself in the foot. Sit down with pen and paper and write long term and short term goals, and this has a way of focusing your efforts. Stop looking for the magic bullet that will instantly transform your life into a fairy tale - no such thing exists. This is all why not everybody is cut out to be in business, there are too many little things that people just cannot handle. You may never make a dime and it would be a lie for me to tell you that you will.
