You want the provocative event which produces a twist in the movie. The regular stream of the story should be suddenly disturbed. The spectators must be kept on their toes so as to maintain their concentration in the story. Problems like what do the characters desire and what is blocking them must be answered as soon as possible in your treatment. Once these issues are resolved the next difficulty will be central, that is whether evil prevail over good. The audience stays for something to occur, until this subject isn't answered. They hope for some amazing action or they hope for the high point of the movie. If the antagonist loses the narrative will have a happy ending and the characters will live joyfully ever after. But if the adversary does win, then the screenplay treatment will have a disastrous end and occasionally will result in the death of the central character. This is how you will have the first act of the movie.
Opening with characters communication is a good idea as the viewers focus on them for a while to choose if they would like to follow them or not and also keep them wondering about the whole plot of ...
... the screenplay treatment. It is crucial that whatever is represented in the first few scenes or the earliest instants should be in a straight line connected to the screenplay treatment. If any unrelated material is being showed it will just confound the audience and can also make them lose attention.
Once you have gained audience's attention the next pages must give details about the describing of the story and simultaneously holding the tension of the screenplay treatment. The majority of the characters can be established, atmosphere can be shaped, past events can be performed and the nasty piece of work can also be introduced but this is optional. To construct the expectation the bad character can be depicted as a good guy but his truth comes to light after a bad episode. However this should not take too much time to avoid the audience get bored.
Remember you only want that stimulating, challenging and provoking situation which produces a surprisingly moment in the screenplay treatment. The inciting episode can be showed as small scenes which when connected builds suspense like getting bad o good news by some character or as a fight between the main character and the antagonist, etc.
