Alzheimer’s disease is a sickness of the brain. It is highly characterized by memory loss, language difficulties, poor discernment, behavioral changes and others. The possibility of getting this disease increases as you reach the age of 70 and it affects about half of the population of people over 85 years of age. Most people believe that there is no way we can avoid this illness. This is not true. There are a lot of ways to prevent Alzheimer’s disease naturally.

Perform workout routines regularly.

By doing regular exercises, you are lowering your risk of suffering from Alzheimer’s disease by 50 percent. You do not have to worry if you have no time to go to the gym because you can still workout in your own little ways. For instance, you can walk your way to the grocery store, jog in the park and run around the neighborhood.

Wear head gear when necessary.

Several researches have revealed that head trauma increases your chances of getting Alzheimer’s disease. So if you are into sports like soccer and boxing or you have been injured in the head due to motorcycle accident and others, you have ...
... to ensure the protection of your head and brain. Wear the appropriate helmet; be careful with your actions, and many others.

Follow a healthy diet.

Another way to prevent Alzheimer’s disease naturally is to eat fresh vegetables and fruits, and anything that is good for your heart. As you make your heart healthy, you also reduce your risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Consume foods that are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids like tuna, trout and salmon. Avoid eating in fast foods and taking in fried dishes, processed and packed foods, red meat and others. These and full-fat dairy products are rich in trans fats and saturated fats.

Instead of having three but large meals, opt for four to six small meals a day. In the process, you are maintaining your blood sugar at the normal level. Have a daily serving of berries. Green tea, on the other hand, improves memory and boosts mental alertness. It also slows down the aging of the brain.

Have enough sleep every day.

Your brain requires restful sleep so it can work efficiently. Adults require at least eight hours of sleep each night. If you deprive yourself of snooze, you do not only feel tired; you also find it difficult to think, as well as to keep and recall information. If this has become continuous, you are making yourself more at risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

Stay mentally active.

Do activities that will keep you mentally active. Read books, write anything that you wish, undergo training, play musical instruments, get into sports and a lot more.

Regardless of your age, you should start living a healthy life to prevent yourself from suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Prevention at an earlier age is better than already experiencing the signs and symptoms of this condition. Consider the ways to prevent Alzheimer’s disease naturally before it gets too late.
