A Festival Of Gifts For A Song Filled Summer!

A Festival of Gifts for a Song Filled Summer!
Can you hear it yet? Ssh, listen carefully...the air is about to become infused with the sound of music. With summer on the horizon, the music festival season is beginning to warm up too. Music festivals are like an institution. Everyone at some point in their lives should attend a gig in a field. And experience the unique atmosphere, which is the key essence of music fests. Not that there is anything wrong with concerts halls, music clubs and big arenas! It is simply that the open air sets an entirely different stage for the artists to perform on. It really is a chance to literally, see them in a different light.

So it's time to root out your tents and head for the hills. (Fingers crossed the wellies can be left at home!) But before you set off, why not do a sound check first with findmeagift.com, for the ultimate festival goers gift guide.
A big part of festivals (apart from the music) is camping! Because you are so excited and can't wait to see your favourite bands, packing kind of goes out ...
... the window. As long as you have your favourite tour t-shirt and shades, that's all that matters. Hmm, not even a change of underwear crosses your mind, nice!
Well my festival friends, why not slip an Outdoor Survival Kit into your bag? This nifty compact set contains blister plasters (and regular plasters) because you will be standing for a great deal of time. (Not to mention walking around for hours on end, because you forgot where you pitched your tent!) A face wipe, anti-insect wipe and 10 sheets of Anti Bacterial Soap to keep you refreshed. In case you happen to bump into your favourite singer in the queue for a hotdog! And a sewing kit...which could come in handy, you might fancy doing a bit of sewing to Slipknot or darning to Def Leppard at the Download Festival at Donington Park 12th-14th June 2009! Also included are some earplugs, which could be useful when Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Whitesnake and ZZ Topp get the crowd roaring in Leicestershire.
Next on stage is the Telescopic Collapsible Pint Glass. The amazing Pocket Pint is a collapsible plastic cup that will hold a pint of liquid once fully expanded. It even has it's own lid! Once the cup is empty, put the lid on and pop it back into your bag or pocket! It is absolutely perfect for taking to music festivals and drinking your beer out of. But if you're going to be singing along with the likes of Lily Allen, Neil Young and the Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen at Glastonbury Festival 24th-28th June 2009, you'll want to fill it with some traditional Somerset Cider instead!
If you missed out on tickets for Glastonbury, then head to London's Hyde Park for the Hard Rock Calling '09 which coincides the same weekend of 26th-28th June. Take with you the Message Mate Battery Power Fan! A fully functioning hand-held battery powered fan; It will keep you cool during the day as you rock out. Then at night watch it brilliantly light up. Thanks to some LED lights, the fan has the ability to display a message of your choice up to 16 characters, including letters, numbers, spaces and symbols.
The incredibly vivid red light clearly animates your personalised message, even in bright conditions. So why not ask The Kooks for a kiss, or The Killers to ‘read your mind' and play your favourite song! What with Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen both headlining in Glastonbury and London, you could program in: ‘take me with you' and wave your fan in the air and see if you can gatecrash the other festival with them! This really is a super cool gadget of a gift that is just the thing for summer concerts that go on late into the evening.
Festivals are naturally crowded with thousands of people. This means there is every chance you may lose sight of your best buddies, whilst trying to find a porta-loo that has toilet roll! That is why you should get the Wind-Up Walkie Talkies (especially if you get stranded). These wonderful Walkie Talkies are wind-up; therefore do not require batteries - utterly perfect for camping and kinder on the environment too!

Obviously you get two walkie talkies (come on, one on its own wouldn't be much use, eh?). Each has their own wind-up crank handle to charge them easily. They have a LCD screen, with volume and channel controls and a convenient hook to attach it to your belt loop or bag. More importantly though, with a 3km range, you will have no worries of trying to contact your pals, should you become separated! You can call your mate who is queuing for a burger and tell them to grab you a drink. Well singing is thirsty work!
And you will certainly be doing plenty of that if you attend Reading or Leeds Festival, August Bank Holiday Weekend. Acts include; Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, RadioHead, Lost Prophets, The Prodigy and Fall out Boy! Phew, you better start getting some vocal training in quick.
Now you are ready to revel in the music. It is time for you and your mates to get down to some serious head banging, moshing in the moshpit, or just dancing in the sheer freedom of the open air. So have fun, sing your hearts out and soak up the festival spirit this summer.
