Why Write Articles And Why Should Others Want To Read Them

Why should you write articles and why on earth should other people want to read what you have written and published? I have heard of many people saying that they want to write, but they do not know what to write about. Indeed, I have felt the same thing myself.
As in many other situations, look for the why and the rest will follow.
In fact, once you really understand just why you want to write, then also decide how important to you that 'why' is, then your writing career is under way.
Now that you have fully absorbed and understood just why you must write, it does not matter to anyone else what your reasons are. others are now only concerned with why they should read what you have written.
Let us imagine that your main reason for wanting to be a writer is money. Usually that means that you want others to buy your books, articles, stories etc., so making an income for yourself.
On the other hand, you might be more concerned with making people's lives better, by sharing with them secrets and ideas you have learned.
Perhaps neither of those is true for you, but you are driven by religion or some ...
... other force, to share your ideas and wisdom with others.
Whatever your reason to write, you must still address the second question in the title: just why should someone read your writings, as opposed to someone elses?
The mechanics of writing and getting your ideas into the public domain is so easy nowadays. Self publishing books and having articles accepted on internet directories makes writing, as such, quite simple.
Getting to where others choose to read your stuff is the real challenge. This is again where you need to be constantly aware of the answers to the two questions in the title.
In fact, I should really make those questions more specific; why do you want to be an effective writer? As I said before, almost anyone can publish almost anything.
Again, the answer would be directly linked to the response to the second more specific question. Who should choose to read your stuff and why?
When the questions make you think hard enough to get the answers right, for you and your readers, then I think you will be in a position to call yourself an effective writer.
Having read this far, I would guess you are still looking for some answers about developing as a writer.
As with any other skill, there is help and guidance available. Why try to go it alone? With some study and training you can learn to answer those two key questions and put yourself on the road to being a writer.
No one is born a writer. The necessary talent and skills can be learned and developed - given that you can ask and answer the right questions.
