Discover How To Be A Budding Screenplay Writer

Now, to be a successful writer you must
(1) Be able to engineer emotion by the use of your pen and script
One major feature that must be present in your writing, is the ability to move the audience in whatever ways via the use of your pen. The inability of so doing will leave your audience feeling very cheated in not being able to offer empathy to the characters.
(2) Not be over enthusiastic in seeing and accepting success at the completion of your first draft.
That longing desire on your part at the end of writing your script is certainly worth celebrating. It is not unreasonable for you to see yourself as pocketing millions at the expected sale of your script and the legacy you will be leaving for generations to come whenever and wherever your script/film is shown.
Such enthusiasm must be tempered with bouts of filmic realism for the accompanying script must be seen as not yet satisfactorily complete To get there, you must write and rewrite and re-rewrite your script and with each rewrite, the expectation is that you will be achieving greater scope, greater growth in your screenplay writing.

... (3) Possess originality

Of course the raw materials that would give you ideas, the viewing of films on the big screen or on TV is all well and good. What is not good however is paralleling your scripts on raw materials that have already been used..
(4) Not to be in a hurry to hand in your finished script
What is expected of you is giving yourself and the script, time to ensure that all the structures within screenplay writer are observed and are present on paper. Not being in a hurry extends even to the script which is by then completed. What you must do is give both yourself and the script a holiday.
This entails your leaving the script untouched for about a week. Upon your return to that script, it should be seen in a new light resulting in you effecting positive and productive changes that might not have been possible without the holiday having been taken
(5) Accept all feedback as being valid
You should pay attention to all of the critique, be they positive or negative of your script. All criticism in both directions are valid and worthy of contributing positively to the final version of your script.
There are fairly rigid rules governing what adds up to one becoming a screenplay writer. Not doing the above five of the many others not mentioned here will definitely damage your prospects at stardom and success at being a budding screenplay writer.
