Why Is Self Verification Recommended
What can be understood out of 'self verification'? Being quite a self explanatory term, self verification simply means getting oneself's antecedents verified. The emergence of this concept arose from the occurrence of instances wherein background verification of a person's has gone wrong due to wrong information rendered out by the source.
There have been cases where an employee has lost his job opportunity because of an incorrect employee background check even when his background antecedents are, in reality, right. This is mainly attributed to the reason that the previous organization, or the educational institution can give out misleading or incorrect information which makes the verification go awry.
With self verification, one can make sure that all the details about the person are recorded correctly by the source. Correct information coming out from the verification source makes the verification process correct and effective. This benefit can not only be enjoyed by an employee or job aspirant but other entities also.

There are a number of checks available for everyone which are capable of addressing the specific verification requirements. Given this capability, few checks often tend to look similar because of which people end up giving a cold shoulder to it.
For instance, reference checks and character verification are often thought to be similar which, in fact, are not, the basic differences being in the number of references, their nature and the questions put to them. For that matter, there is a difference between the personal reference checks and professional reference check simply because of the difference and approach in conducting these checks. Additionally, address checks also involve a check with the neighbours.
Advanced checks can also be conducted as part of self verification. Database checks like criminal records check, credit check, national identity check, and Indian and global database check are also recommended align with other checks. However, choice of few Indian and global database check depends heavily on the position of the person.
With self verification, one can make sure that background verification does not face any glitch. Rather, it would be appreciated by the company if the person saves the company's cost to an extent by sharing his verification report with the employer. After all, a proactive and honest approach is always welcomed by any employer.
