Try A Candy Buffet At Your Next Event

Non-profit and corporate events need distinctive touches to make them memorable. Experienced event organizers know that they need to come up with something eye-catching and unforgettable, but sometimes doing so can be difficult; especially if an organizer is tasked with running a similar event every year. Pretty soon they may think that they’ve exhausted all the good ideas. There’s one idea that can make a big difference at an event, for a relatively inexpensive investment. Candy buffets are a rising trend that can add a really attractive and memorable touch to any event. In Michigan, for example, there are candy stores that specialize in selling bulk candy so a person could make their own buffet, or the stores can create them for customers. Whether one lives in Michigan or elsewhere, candy can be the special element to liven up a public event.
Candy buffets will need a bit of planning, but as long as one has a few weeks before an event, that’s basically all the time that’s needed. First a person needs to consider the theme for the event. Next the event organizer needs to consider which vessels will work ...
... best to display and dispense the candy. Often glass containers are selected for this purpose. Small scoops can be placed beside or inside each container for guests’ easy access to the candy. Small dishes can be placed on the table and to make the buffet even more inviting, place cards with elegant script can be placed before each vessel. These can list each candy’s name and a few words about its origin or flavor.
People often ask if it’s a better idea to create one’s own buffet or let a professional handle it. Some candy stores will create the buffets, and this may be a good option for event organizers who are very busy planning other aspects of their event. If one does create their own candy buffet, usually 6-8 ounces of candy per guest is advisable. It’s a good idea to buy some attractive little bags for attendees to carry home extra candy. Small decorative boxes can be used for the same purpose.
Some events where candy buffets are popular are weddings and holiday parties. Color, shape and texture mixtures, especially when they complement the event’s theme, make a candy buffet exceptional. Some people like to visit websites and blogs that show examples of beautiful candy buffets. Pinterest is a good place to check for candy buffet ideas. In fact some people show these ideas to their local candy store staff and try to get them to emulate outstanding candy buffets. Ideally if an event organizer is going to create the buffeton their own they should leave themselves at least 10 days between ordering and receiving the candy. It will keep if it remains in its packaging at room temperature. Ordering early will allow for re-orders if it’s decided more candy is needed.
