Restaurant Review: Cafe Bali Hai, Gurgaon - Best Multicuisine Restaurant In Delhi Ncr

If you are feeling let down by eating out and nothing seems to be good enough anymore then Cafe Bali Hai, the restaurant in Gurgaon is just what the doctor ordered. One of the freshest places you’d come across in a long time, Café Bali Hai gives the oriental kitchen a well needed make over.
Located in the Cross Point Mall next to Galleria in DLF Phase 4 Café Bali Hai exudes warmth from the moment you set sight on it. An open kitchen with head banded chefs going about their business with a dedication that could put most warriors to shame the place has a very cozy feel going.
The seating also includes a traditional Japanese style low table and cushion arrangement that runs along a glass window. A look at the menu reveals the presence of all things regular when it comes to a Thai or Japanese kitchen but what really makes it tick is the mood of the place. The bar offers classic cocktails and the mojito is surely worth trying but do try the Miso Soup (Rs 155) or the Bali Hai Chicken Soup (Rs 200) even if it means skipping some alcohol.
For the starters skip the dim sum for the simple reason that ...
... it’s priced on the higher side and pick up something like the Dry Chili Chicken or Chicken with Basil and Five Spices both priced as much as 5 dim sums (Rs 325). The main course is divided into two parts with an entire segment dedicated to curries. The Chicken Rendang (Rs 325) diced chicken in spiced dry curry along with desiccated coconut is the pick of the lot with the Indonesian Muslim Chicken Curry boneless chicken in creamy curry coming a close second.
The flavours are different from what the palate has been subjected to in the name of far Eastern cuisine. There’s the regular Thai Curry both green and red as well as noodles meals that come with an array of options as far as gravy goes. The Tepanyaki Grilled segment is also filled with options of meats and vegetables in case you want to experiment with some Japanese.
Make Café Bali Hai an immediate must do on your list. One of the best makeovers to have happened to Oriental food, Cafe Bali Hai, the restaurant in Gurgaon, Delhi NCRis just the thing you need if the current eating out options seem stale to you. A vibrant ambiance makes good food better.
