How To Deal With Your Old Car
We have always been in constant dilemma on how to get rid of our old stuff. There can never be too many garage sales and weekend fairs to free yourself from all your old things. The task is even harder if the old stuff you are dealing with is an old car. I mean, how on earth can you sell that to weekend fairs? Of course, you can use a set of different methods like word of mouth and flyering, but that will be too much of an effort for an old car. So, I have come up with a few ideas to help you out.
Turn it into a practice car
If you have children in your family, your old car can be a good practice car for your children before giving them their own cars for real. This is a good thing because you can start training them to drive yourself before they are even old enough to apply for a driving license. By the time they are ready, their licenses are already a sure thing because they have already trained way before. Of course, you have to be sure to do the training in a safe and secure environment.
Give it to charity
You still do not have any children or family? One way to get rid of your decrepit car is ...
... to give it to some charity cases. With charity cases, I do not only mean organizations and such (although that will not be a bad idea too if such an organization needed your car). However, what I am getting at here is a poor friend or perhaps acquaintance who badly needs (or wants) a car. If it is just sitting on your garage and you have a couple of newer ones, giving it away won’t be too much of a loss for your money.
Sell it as a second-hand car
If your old car is still sellable, then selling it to a second-hand car shop would be more than a good idea. You’ll get rid of your so-called junk car, and you’ll still have money in return. Some cash for junk cars will be a helpful aid to your family’s expenses, especially if you are currently experiencing a down time. Of course, that one you have may still not be considered a junk car, but other people (especially rich people) just think of it that way.
Sell it to a junk car shop
However, if your old, beaten up car is wrecked enough to be sold in second-hand car shops, then your best choice is the junk car shops. Unless you want your car to rot in your garage or back yard, getting cash for junk cars is your best deal. Do not worry. Those shops will not really treat your car as junk. They will try their best to save it and resell it if possible. Nevertheless, whatever they want to do with your car, your hands are now free of its burden. Now, for someone who wants to get rid of something, this option is something to be happy about.
