As you may know, a lot has changed lately with the SEO algorithms. Panda, penguin, flamingo, whatever. The bottom line is, the search engines are doing anything they can to weed out any links that people are trying to build based on scamming the search engines into giving them search traffic they don't deserve. (You've probably seen those ads that claim "buy my system and get Google #1 ranking in 24 hours"). That's not what Google or the other search engines want. They want REAL sites with REAL value to have those top slots.
So they have put complex formulas in case to try to keep people from scamming the system in that way. And they usually work. Till some other smart, unethical cookie comes along. And finds another way to game the system. Then Google changes the formula. And rightly so.
So the question is: how does Google want you to get a high search ranking in their search results? I mean, they want SOMEONE to be #1, right? So what do they really want to get you there? This is what they want: the BEST content in the world for your keyword. That's it. That's what they want.
So... how do you get the #1 spot ...
... for your keyword? Have the best content in the world for your keyword, then make sure Google knows about it.
And that right there is where the scammers con you. They trick you into thinking that all you have to do is NOT have the best content, but make Google THINK that you do. Hmmm... The problem with that is this: as soon as Google finds out, they ban you. So what people do is they trick Google, get some traffic, get banned, create a new site, trick them again, get banned and so on.
How's that for a business model?
Look, I don't care how effective that business model is for some people, that's not for me. I want to build a long-term business, one that doesn't have to be re-created over and over again.
So how do you do it?
Easy - instead of just focusing on the last part of the equation - telling Google about your lousy content - instead, what if you were to focus on creating the best content in the entire world for your keyword and letting the internet tell Google?
What if you were to go out of your way to create the very best content on earth for your keyword? What if each day you were to create the very best content on earth for a different keyword each day for one year? In one year of working 5 days a week, you would have 200 pages with the very best content on earth for 200 keywords.
And what if you were to put that on your website, and then write a few articles each day that supported that article, and allowed the article directories to tell Google about your content, the content on your site that is the very best in the world for your keywords - don't you think that after a few months, you would have a few #1 rankings in Google?!
