When you're just starting out, it can be a pretty daunting task finding what to write about. But you find that the more you do this and the more practice you get, the easier it gets. Or you can take a general concept you read in a book or in a course and put it into your own words with your own perspective and how you specifically would apply it to your business. Listen to some old motivational tapes or cds you might have lying around. Take what they are saying and give your own perspective on it. Provide that added value that will get people excited about visiting your blog. Another great resource for content would be books. You probably have a whole bunch of books on marketing and business lying around. Open one of them up, look at a chapter or a topic in the book and expand on that and apply it to your readers.
Watch any movie and comment on it. We all know that in pop culture, anything related to celebrities or the entertainment industry is immediately interesting. You can use Hollywood to pique the interests of your readers by reviewing a movie and using the meaning or specific scenes of the movie and drawing the parallel between that and some business principle or personal growth principle.
Taking the daily experiences in YOUR LIFE and tying them into marketing, communicating, or personal growth. This not only provides your readers with great insights on these areas of business but it also allows your readers to get a sneak peek at your life. Readers love living vicariously through the people they look up to. They appreciate it because it lets them know that you are human and not this mystic, esoteric guru you've made yourself out to be. It humanizes you. And above all, it builds trust which is the most crucial part of building a following and getting people to admire you and buy your products or join your organization.
