Make your privacy practices transparent - Do not make privacy policy to confuse users. You must make such policy that tells users about what the app is made for and what are supposed to be background activities. The California General Attorney recently released “Privacy on the Go” which is a report with recommendations for mobile application developers in the ecosystem. The same report has also forced an agreement with major platforms like, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Hewlett-Packard, RIM Amazing and Facebook.

Cautiously collect information from children - Developers must be cautious while collecting information from kids or children. The act of colleting information form children under 13 needs to obey the Children Privacy Protection Act which is effective since 21th April, 2000.

Provide sufficient protection to the data of users collected by an app - In spite of the fact users are allowing apps to collect their information, developers are failing to provide requisite security to same collected information. This is quite disappointing when developers are caught for neglecting privacy related issues.
