The not so good news is that you only can if you are still between the growing ages. The human body has growth plates that allow height and body growth given that the requirements for that are achieved. Once these plates are closed, there is no way a person can improve his or her height. The only means you can add inches to your body is by hiring the expertise of a ‘growth’ doctor or taking in fast growth medicine, which is definitely expensive and/or unsafe.
In achieving your best height potential, there are two factors that may affect it: your genetics and the environment.
• Your genetics. Generally, you can expect to be tall if you’re an offspring of tall parent and vice versa. But that is not conclusive because there is still the environment or surroundings that may allow or prevent you from boosting your height growth. But if it would be on the terms of genetics only, ...

Split the result into two and that is your predicted height. • Environmental effects. The environment takes half of the blame if you are not as tall as you want to be because it really has an effect on your growth. A good example to this is living in the city where noise pollution and insufficient nutritional food supply are experienced. Growing kids and adolescents require enough food, rest and exercise to achieve their full height potential. If the place is so loud and noisy, there is a little possibility that these growing kids and teens can meet the 8 to 11 hours of calm sleep and rest. Therefore, tissues cannot fully regenerate and the body cannot grow as it ought to.
The same is true if there is no enough food nutrition in the place because the environment doesn’t allow good supply of it. Or, the place limits these growing kids and teens to exercise or enjoy sports that would help the body attain its potential height.
So, if you are meaning to achieve a better height than what your genetics allows you to expect, reach your maximum potential by improving your sleeping, eating and exercising habits. And do them while your growth plates are still open. As you know, you can never add an inch or more on your height when the chance to grow pass you by. Although, you can always resort to modern medical means to improve your height.
