The employer asked the Nepali housemaid to keep it with her until his wife came back from work. While she was getting ready the dinner for his daughter, she actually closed up the door of the living room. He testified that he did not have doubts that she may run off. He just thought that the maid did not desire the smell of cooking to go into the sitting room. The sponsor’s wife who is 33 years old and an executive manager with a reputed firm came back from her job to her home at about 6 o'clock in the evening and she was shocked and speechless to notice that the main door was not closed and was open. She tried to call the housemaid but then there was no answer. Then she rummaged around for her everywhere including the maid’s room but it looked like that she had taken away all her possessions including her clothes with her. And then while searching in her bedroom, she found out that her cash, jewellery, her iPod and also her passport were not there. After some time, the housemaid called her and asked the sponsor to cancel her visa and go and meet her. Moreover, the maid confessed her crime and assured to give back the gold as soon as she reached her native land. The police have arrested the housemaid and the court will give its verdict on the 31st of July.
