Sometimes, it is difficult to plan a fun filled trip with loved ones. Making all the plans can be time consuming and that is why many people tend to ditch such ideas. Andorra is however a great place to get away and the only demand for your time will be when to visit the next museum or go for the next excursion. This is a small mountainous landlocked country in south-western Europe in the Pyrenees Mountains and covers a small area of 468 square kilometres with a population of approximately 71,201. There are many towns in this country with Andorra La Vela as the capital and Catalan as the official language though others like French, Castilian and Portuguese are also spoken here. If you are in this country for a few days, you can visit most of the astounding villages by bus which is the most convenient means of transport as they are many. If you are the active type, you can go for horse riding, cycling, tennis, swimming, trout fishing, rock climbing and clay-pigeon shooting which are all available in all towns of this gorgeous country. Go skiing in any of Andorra's resorts and the main centre for this activity is Soldeu. Other ski centres can be found at Pas de la Casa-GrauRoig on the French frontier and at the Ordino-Arcalis and Arinsal-Pal all north of Andorra la Valle.

There is plenty to see in Andorra that will keep you smiling throughout trip in this country. These sites include the scenic view across the mountains that are commanded by the hamlet of El Serrat, approximately 18 kilometres from Escalades-Engordany. You can also visit the medieval church in the town of Encamp between the capital and the French frontier. Don't miss the Madiru valley which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a glacial valley in a ‘U' shape and routes to the glacial cirque of the Gargantilla which encompass ranging landscapes, human works and shepherd's cabins. You can also watch a game of football, rugby or basketball as well as all other popular sports.

You should never worry about accommodation when you are visiting Andorra as there are many places you can have a great night rest. Mountain refuges offer cheap and basic accommodation with rooms for visitors some with a hearth and bank beds. You can also book a hotel room as there are hundreds of hotels and guest houses principally catering for the summer months and ski seasons though some stay open all through the year.
