“Then He said to them: ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me’.” These words are spoken by Jesus Christ in Luke 9:23 (NIV) as He is predicting his own death. As Christians we are faithful and believe these words written in the gospel of Luke and we believe that Jesus did in fact die on the cross for our sins. The question becomes how can we show our dedication and belief in these true words? Wearing a cross shirt that makes a statement is an excellent way to accomplish this.

Rather than just a plain shirt with a benign statement, devout Christians should shine their light and proclaim their faith that they can move mountains and that hope never dies. A cross shirt depicting Jesus himself carrying His own cross to His own crucifixion is about as powerful and compelling as anything I’ve ever seen! Wearing this kind of statement makes one thirsty for God’s hope and the hope in the life eternal that we’ve been promised.

So many people are passionate and fervent in their pursuit of their occupation, their sport, their relationships and ...
... their goals that they forget the one thing that will never pass away; the one promise that will not be dismissed; the promise of living a life with Christ in heaven. Wow! Many times we hear that we are what we wear. Well for the Christian, what better article can be worn than a cross shirt? What better statement could be made?

Having children and trying to purchase quality, pleasant, and honorable clothing for them is a chore. Seeking out companies who try to preserve the goodness and grace in society has become a challenge that I gladly embrace. Having girls is especially difficult when looking for modest clothing that is both dignified and stylish. A cross shirt is definitely one way that my girls can have cool apparel that accomplishes everyone’s desires. I am thrilled with the statement that they are making and they are happy with a design that is different from all others. Win, win.

The cliché and conventional statements made on shirts on the market today are boring, mainstream, and mediocre at best. A cross shirt with a statement that shows the world our convictions and what we stand for is anything but conventional. By purchasing and wearing apparel that is both striking and stands out in the crowd may seem contradictory to the meek and mild manner that Christ portrayed but He was not afraid to spread Good News and neither should we be. We are called to witness to one another not sit idly by and watch. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14 (NIV).
