Showing You Value Your Family More Than Anything

To most of us, there is nothing more important than family. Not work. Not career. Not fame or fortune. The family is always referred to as the most basic unit of the society. If you are one of those people who value family above all else, I am assuming that you already have your own family lawyer. Other than that very important requirement, you most certainly have a family constitution as well—drafted according to your specifications by your family’s lawyer. If you are this kind of a family head, than I very much salute you. This is one of the best things you can provide for your family.

You know what? Other families—probably more than we can imagine—live all their lives not knowing what a family lawyer is. They don’t even know what a family constitution is. And even if they do, they do not give a single damn about it. They would probably think, “What on earth can my family benefit from that? That will just add unnecessary cost to the family’s expenses.” Other families in certain parts of the world can’t provide three square meals a day. How can they even think of something as alien as a piece of paper ...
... containing family values and goals? That is the least of their problems. They can’t even afford a place to live. They can’t even hold steady jobs. Concepts as high sounding as lawyers and constitutions do not ring a bell to them.

Needless to say you have a much better life than probably more than half of the families in America—heck, more than the families in the world! Knowing that you are this privileged, do you think that a lawyer and a piece of paper is enough to show your apparent gratitude regarding your situation? I don’t think so.

I believe it takes more than just paper and legal representation to show how much you value your family. You can most certainly show it more in other actions or things that directly affect your family’s day-to-day life. What about a simple home improvement once every three months (or once every month if you feel like it!) to give your lovely wife something to keep her hands busy with? What about simple walks in the park and an afternoon picnic with your family every weekend? Yes, these are all simple things, but this will bring lasting effect to your wife and children. No matter what happens, they will always know that you value them enough to cut time from your busy schedule just to spend time with them.

I am not saying this because I think you are not doing enough. You hired a freakin’ lawyer for heaven’s sake. That is enough value to some families. However, you are not some families (that it, I am hoping you are not). You want to give only the best for your family. And I know that you know that only your undivided attention and love can make your family feel valued above everything else.
