When my wife and I decided to go on a Central Asia tour we had a rough idea of the countries we would like to visit but did not know how to put the trip together until we came across this company. Their silk road 5 Stans tour included 5 countries: Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Each one of these we found to be unique and I have to say that we really enjoyed our central 5 Stans travel.

One of the countries that we had previously known very little about was Azerbaijan. We discovered that its name means ‘Land of Fires’ because the people there have for century’s worshipped fire. We discovered a land that is rich in archeology and history as well as great cultural sites. This is a country where some of the first humans settled in back in the day. The Caspian Sea sparkles on one end of this delightful country. Our tour to 5 Stans brought us to Turkmenistan as well. This is a country ...
... that borders both Uzbekistan and Afghanistan and was also part of the silk route. Like Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan is also bordered on one side by the Caspian Sea to the delight of many tourists. Although this is a country that is little known to many, we found out that it had many beautiful sceneries and great historical sites. Central Asia travel that includes this country is guaranteed to include some great historical relics as well as fossils for those who love history.

In Georgia we discovered excellent food, rich culture and the warmest people. The Georgian landscape is a must see if you travel 5 Stans because it is made of up of rolling hills and winding rivers. The snow capped mountains rising up as a backdrop make you feel small in a way that inspires awe. Our Central Asia tour also brought us to Kyrgyzstan a land so mountainous that half the country lives 800 ft above sea level. This country is situated in between the two largest mountain ranges in the region the Pamir Mountains and the Tian-Shan Mountains. The landscape is to die for and it is every mountain climbers dream.

Our 5 Stans travel brought us to Uzbekistan as well, a country rich in oriental culture and beauty. There are several historical sites that you can enjoy in this country located between 2 rivers. The farmlands of Uzbekistan ensure that you eat lots of fresh produce during your Central Asia travel. The climate is generally warm and sunny which makes it more fun for those travelling there. The tour of the Silk Road countries as you can imagine, is named for the age old silk trade when great caravans of silk merchants travelled on it to find markets for their silk. It is a tour rich in history and the culture of the orient. The scenery perhaps, is the most beautiful thing you can enjoy as you travel through these 5 countries. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has been thinking about travelling to Central Asia.
