Abortion Clinics Should Start Upgrading

I will say it again. Abortion clinics should start upgrading. Now. I am not just talking about their facilities. I am talking about every aspect of the abortion business. This industry is in danger right now—not of total extinction of course. However, it is once again under scrutiny not only of the anti-abortion activists but also of the government. As you may know, several new laws have been passed to regulate abortion. That is why one of the things abortion clinics can do is to improve their current standing. Call it clinic improvement. Call it abortion clinic 2.0. Call it service overhaul.

What I am trying to say is one of the ways to silence the protesters is to (because they don’t have any choice in the matter) abide by the regulations and more. They can improve everything—facilities, services, doctors, medical staff, food, and any other extra gimmick they can add to their clinic to make it more than legit. Although we can all agree that some of the new abortion laws are downright outrageous, what else can we do? Protesting all day won’t get your business moving forward.

... clinics are still businesses. Even if your ideologies and principles drive you to go out, placards in hand, and get together with your allies, you have a business to focus on. And this business demands you to comply with government regulations so that you can continue serving women’s needs and earning money. Because you are a businessman, you have that unfortunate responsibility to your business, your staff, and your patients. Well, it actually depends on your perspective. If you think that is a hard job you are doing, then your situation will be unfortunate. But hey, you chose to be in that business, right?

The best thing you can do at this moment is to go with the flow. The law demands better facilities? Give it to them. They want you to be stricter with your requirements when accepting patients? Go ahead and comply with their regulations. When you think about it, you will also do your abortion clinic a favor. Aside from being able to provide better services to your patients, you can also look good in front of your community. Your name will be admired and followed by other abortion clinics in your area. That scenario is not that bad now, is it?

Things are tough now, but stay strong and endure. And keep making your abortion clinic beautiful! These current issues will eventually die down again, and you will finally have your peace of mind back. However, since there are still issues pestering your front doors, you can just lie low for now and operate under the radar. Abide by all the rules, and make sure that your local government notices the upgrades you have made for your clinic. That will show them, right? They can toy around with the abortion regulations every now and then, but they can never stop your operations. As the cliché goes: business as usual!
