Though this may not be what you think of as the typical "gift giving," it is essentially the same thing. This company is getting started or trying to drum up business so they give samples away as gifts in hopes they will see a return on their investment through increased orders. Guess what? It works!

How much impact do you think it might have on the president of your biggest client, if you send a welcome new baby gift for his new grandchild? This gift could be delivered to him or her or to the baby, but the impact would be astronomical. How about one of your star employees loses a close family member.
