Health Facilities That Need Extra Attention
Every public facility needs to have a clean and safe environment, most especially if it is a health facility. Health facilities need to have cleaner—preferably sterile—work environments. One reason is that they mostly deal with communicable diseases. Every patient who comes inside a health facility needs to be confident that every time he or she enters a public health facility, his or her personal health is not jeopardized by other infectious diseases. The three facilities that particularly catch my attention are the community clinics, the abortion clinics, and, although this is not as vital as the other two, the dental clinics. I have seen clinics that are not as clean as the community expects them to be, which is totally wrong. I have pointed a few specific reasons why.
Community Clinic
Obviously, the community clinic is a public facility. All kinds of sick people go here every day. But some community clinics are not behaving like a real clinic should. I understand that a public health center caters to more people than a private one. Sometimes, some health centers do not give much attention to sterility—which ...
... is a bad move. A health center’s number one priority should is overall cleanliness.
Abortion Clinic
Abortion has always been a controversial issue. It is always under observation (most of the time, even scrutiny) from different organizations both pro and anti. If an abortion clinic does not act accordingly, like keeping its facilities sterile enough for its patients, then it will not undergo as much trouble with the anti-abortion communities. Even when most abortion clinics adhere to the regulation set by the law, there are still others that perpetuate passive compliance. Abortion clinics should actually prove more than just cleanliness. But this is a major factor, and they should give this one extra focus—not only for government compliance but for their patients as well.
Dental Clinic
Now as I mentioned earlier, this one is not really as critical as the previous two. I mean, dental clinics have mostly clean environments. But my concern is the as the former health centers. Not all practice cleanliness in every service. Dentists are given high regard in the communities they are in. It is a great help for their community of they not only practice cleanliness but endorse and propagate it as well. Dentists have a different kind of charm and appeal, especially to children. It is about time they use it for a better cause.
We all know that cleanliness is no small thing. Neglecting it is the reason why people visit health centers at the first place. However, if the health center they visit does not practice cleanliness, then it defeats its purpose now, does it? It just comes as a sick joke to me. An irony most of us practice. If your local community clinic do not adhere to the health regulation (particularly cleanliness) demanded by the government, you have to voice out and let the authorities know. This is the only way you can get quality healthcare service in your local area.
