What Makes Your Content Effective For Seo
Creating content is only one aspect of a marketer's job, while writing valuable, well-optimized content is even more important. If you create content for your blog or website that is not optimized for search engines, it will have poor ranking in search engine results. Poor visibility in online searches is likely to have negative effects because current and potential clients will not be able to find your business website conveniently. In fact, is your content is of poor quality or not written for SEO, your online presence will be virtually nonexistent.
To write content that is effective for SEO, incorporate the following suggestions into your writing:
1. Use article titles effectively
The title should be descriptive of the content, so that readers can know what the article is all about simply by reading the title. It should summarize the entire written content. However, if you use catchy titles with poor-quality, irrelevant content, you will not gain any readers.
2. Use numbers to attract the readers' interest
Using numbers adds structure to written content and allows readers to navigate through ...
... the content conveniently. Readers are generally attracted to content with numbering.
3. Use visuals to add more meaning to the content
Images break up the monotony created by large chunks of text and make the content visually interesting. Adding appropriate info graphics, images, artwork and slide shows provides visuals that explain your perspective and adds value to your content. However, you must always use your own creations or get permission from original owners if you use visuals created by others.
4. Use list formats
List formats are excellent for some types of SEO content, particularly where you want to keep your ideas organized. Readers love lists, as they can scan through the content in search of the information they need. Search engines also prefer list formats and your SEO efforts will yield better results.
5. Use keywords purposefully
Start writing SEO content only after conducting in-depth research about suitable keywords. You need to know what keywords people are using while searching for your type of content. Use the keywords in the title, the first paragraph, the Meta tags and the description. However, don't overuse the keywords, as that compromises the content quality.
6. Use sub-headings
For articles longer than 250 words, use sub-headings to make your content look more appealing. In the presence of sub-headings, readers are able to skim through the sections to find the information they need. Sub-headings are also effective for SEO.
7. Use a story-telling approach
Irrespective of what you are writing about, good copywriting always uses an interesting story-telling approach. Good-quality content that contains relevant and interesting information makes it both, entertaining and helpful.
