Walk through the green grass, to a place where a big oak tree stands. Prop yourself up against its strong trunk, and close your eyes.
Breathe in the fresh air, feel the wind blow swiftly through your hair, take a deep breath, and dream a while.
Dream of the day when you will be free; where you can see yourself by a waterfall, whose sound refreshes your soul; filtering through all negativity this life sometimes brings.
Can you see it, yet? Can you see yourself standing tall, with your head held high, as if you can survive anything, because you are a Survivor?. Not because you are proud or rude, but because you know what you've been through, and what you had to overcome to get to where you are today.
Can you see a canvas, with a paintbrush in a hand, whose form holds gentleness, kindness, patience, to paint a picture? A Portrait? Your story? In color, not in black or white?
Dream of the day when nothing but smiles, laughter and peace remains. Where Love is truly all you know how to do, because, love changed your life? It changes things.
You do not have to be in prison anymore. You know that ...
... you do not have to allow someone to overtake you and cut you off at your knees.
Do you envision yourself with chains from your past or present, breaking and falling off of you?
Dream of the day when you will no longer be torn down, ripped into pieces, or allow yourself to fall under someone else's rule.
Allow yourself to be forgiven. Forgive others. And still go free.
Now let me dream with you.
I can imagine that you are smart, bold and beautiful. I can imagine that you are someone with incredible integrity and someone who keeps your mouth shut, because you do not want to destroy anyone. You would rather stand in the shadows than really be seen in the light.
I can imagine you playing on a playground, like a little kid, since you were not able to grow up like a child; instead, you had to grow up, fast.
You were treated as someone's property, instead of someone's friend. You were expected to be perfect, instead of being allowed to make mistakes.
You learned to hide your emotions, since you were told that you do not matter; you were told you are worthless. It left you with pain and regret. It left you feeling hopeless and unworthy. You thought of yourself as inferior, under par and no good.
Here's what I see.
I see you as a person who likes to be
* Creative
* Having fun and
* Enjoying life.
I see someone who wants to love life and forget all the bad things done to you,
I imagine you dancing to the beat of a different drum;
A drum of
* Perseverance
* Determination
* Laughter *Freedom.
I see your heart being mended again. I can see you having a new vision on life; with a new appreciation of yourself and who you are on the inside.
You are a jewel. Your beauty radiates through you, like beams of the sun, casting a sparkle down on the crystal clear water, making it all the more beautiful.
Dream of the day when your confidence arises and you can be whoever it is that you want to be.
Dream until the sun fades in the distance; the moon comes out, and the cool, crisp air, penetrates your very being.
Run Free, Dream Big, and know that you are loved.
Walk the path where you long to go, and hope, love, peace, happiness and faith will be alongside of you.
